Write for us
We welcome considered pitches about kitchens and home cooking: the spaces, tools, ingredients, habits and histories that help readers understand why a choice matters.
What makes a strong pitch
Suggest one focused subject, explain the question the piece will answer and say what a reader will understand afterward. Good proposals have a clear angle, a useful distinction or an overlooked history, and a scope suited to an evergreen article. Please note any relevant sources or limitations and disclose potential conflicts of interest.
What to leave out
We are not looking for generic recipe collections, product praise disguised as editorial, unsupported claims or subjects that require hazardous work or specialist instruction. Avoid pitches that rely on invented experience, statistics without a clear basis or a single household routine presented as the right way for everyone.
How to send a proposal
Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A concise outline is more useful than a full draft unless one is requested. Please do not send confidential material or assume a proposal has been accepted until there is a clear agreement.
